All the resorts are very different, with each catering slightly differently to the needs of tourists. It is therefore important for you to decide which one will best suit you/your group's accommodation and activity needs.

Sotovento Beaches, Costa Calma, Fuerteventura

COSTA CALMA

Towards the south east of the island at about 60km / 1 hour drive from the airport

Sotovento beaches (pictured) play host to the World Windsurfing Speed and Slalom event each July/August.

POPULARITY: Popular with people looking for "beach" holidays. All nationalities, but catering mainly towards German tourists.Costa Calma, Fuerteventura

ACCOMMODATION: Good choice of different styles and prices of accommodation to suit all budgets

ACTIVITIES: Fair choice of different sports and leisure activities for all the family.

SHOPPING: Smaller choice of specialist local shops

FOOD AND DRINK: Good choice of International restaurants. Some open until 0:00 although this area generally tends to "close down" around 10:30

NIGHTLIFE: Entertainment mainly in the AI hotels. Some Bars/Restaurants with a variety of entertainment available in the town


Morro Jable

JANDIA (Morro Jable)

In the south of the island and some 80 km / 1 hour 15 min drive from the airport

Villa Winter at Cofete (pictured) is a derelict German retreat from war torn Europe. Worth a visit - accessible only along a long unmade bumpy track.

POPULARITY: Popular with people looking for "beach" holidays. All nationalities, but catering mainly towards German tourists.Villa Winter, Cofete
