POPULARITY: Playa Blanca is becoming very popular. It is more cosmopolitan and is popular with all nationalities, and age groups. Town beaches are safe, and great for kids. PAPAGAYO beaches can be reached by car along the bumpy unmade track, or by foot along the coastline (long walk!!) ACCOMMODATION: Excellent choice of different styles & prices of accommodation to suit all budgets and the newest 4 & 5 star hotels on the island ACTIVITIES: Excellent choice of different sports and leisure activities for all the family. SHOPPING: Excellent choice of International and smaller specialist local shops. Saturday market held at Marina Rubicon - worth a visit. FOOD AND DRINK: Excellent choice of International restaurants and bars. Most restaurants open until 0:00 but some serving food until 02:00 NIGHTLIFE: Many Bars/Restaurants with a variety of entertainment available, from Karaoke & Quizzes to live music.
